The people who live on the island are very poor and rely on tourism for their livelihood. Due to the Covid19 virus, the island is now closed to tourists. As there is no tourism, it is very difficult for the locals to work and buy food for their families. They are in an economic and social crisis.

I have spent around 6 months over the last 3 years working as a volunteer for a non-profit foundation on the island called Amigos Del Mar. The foundation does amazing work with the children and communities that live there. https://amigosdelmar.org/

So, Foundation Amigos Del Mar want to provide a bag of food each for 60 families once a week. 60 bags of food costs approximately £400 a week. Any money you can donate towards this cause, no matter how small, will make a big difference. Many thanks.
