Story
Hey everyone!
As many of you already know, I work with wildlife. But last May, something unexpected happened that changed everything! We were asked to rescue a fox cub who desperately needed help. Now, what made this situation so unusual? Let me introduce you to Trixie!
Trixie isn’t your typical fox; she’s a silver fox, and at just 8 weeks old, she was already in trouble. Despite being sold as a “pet” or a domestic fox, she was anything but docile. Even at such a young age, her strong-willed, independent nature turned our lives upside down. It’s been a chaotic yet rewarding rollercoaster ever since, and I honestly wouldn’t have made it through the past 12 months without her.
Recently, I connected with a gentleman in Norway who has dedicated his life to breeding domestic foxes. These foxes are truly domesticated, unlike. Unfortunately, his world was turned upside down when Norway made the monumental decision to ban fur farming (we all know is long overdue.) But the government also decided to impose a blanket ban on keeping foxes as pets.
This left Joakim, the breeder, in an impossible situation. To save his beloved foxes, he had to move them to Finland. Due to severe health issues, Joakim is unable to go with them, and he’s asked me to help save his life’s work. I’m now working to raise the necessary funds to bring the next generation of fox cubs to the UK, saving them from an uncertain future and the risk of being turned into fur.
I’m covering all the costs with bringing these incredible animals here, including their vet checks, vaccinations, travel, paperwork, and so on. These foxes will play a key role in education and potentially becoming wonderful companions here in the UK. However, I need your support to cover the ongoing costs of their care—everything from enclosures, enrichment, food, toys, and treats, to their vet bills. So I’m reaching out to ask for your help to save these beautiful creatures. Together we can ensure they have a happy, safe future.
