Weʼre raising £1,000 to Running the marathon to raise money for Get Kids Going - a charity to get disabled children into sport
Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.
The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.
I am running the Brighton Marathon, to help my sister-in-law (who is running the London Marathon) to raise money for the amazing Get Kids Going charity.
Get Kids Going is a national charity which gives disabled children and young people the wonderful opportunity to participate in sport. They provide children with specially adapted equipment to take part in a wide range of sports such as tennis, skiing, sailing, basketball, snowboarding and many more. With your support to help us through this challenge, we can send more paralympians to the Tokyo 2020 Summer Paralympics! https://www.getkidsgoing.com/
We are both keen sports-people and have been lucky enough to have the chance to play competitive sport to a high level, but we think everyone should have this opportunity and get the chance to enjoy it us much as we have. Everyone has the right to any level of sport they wish to achieve! If we can attempt to run a marathon ALL children have the right to attempt any sport at any level!
There are hundreds of talented, disabled youngsters who have the potential to participate in events all over the world but receive very little funding and are desperate to achieve their life-long sporting dreams. With your help we can turn their dreams into reality and help to make them sporting heroes!
Please help us on our journey! Lets make a change for all those children with life-long dreams that can be achieved with help from YOU! Any donations will go a long way!!
(All donations will be added to Kate's London Marathon Virgin Money fundraising page, as my run is before hers See her page here )
