Story
I have been fortunate enough to be selected as 1 of 8 to have the opportunity to travel to Ghana this July, where I will be volunteering at Dreamlands School and other schools within the local community, teaching and working on projects that will help better the school's facilities.
To help support these schools and to give every child the opportunity to reach for a bright future, I am going to run 4 miles every day for a week carrying a 20 kg pack. This is to mirror the challenge faced everyday by women across Africa who have to walk long distances carrying water for their families. I plan to complete this challenge in February and would be grateful for any sponsorship. Every penny counts!
Dreamlands School was founded in 2003 by Pastor James Dugger to provide disadvantaged and orphaned children with an education and safe environment. Having started under 2 trees, Dreamlands has developed into a fully functioning school where children are able to thrive and reach their full potential. Repton School and its representatives have historically helped fund the building of classrooms and provided essential resources and equipment to help Dreamlands to continue to grow and improve, providing many children with the chance of a brighter future.
