    Story

We recently had our tractor stolen from our club. The tractor was originally purchased to enable us to cut the football pitch and surrounding playing fields. We play our football in the York and district football league and have done since 1903 We now find ourselves in a very difficult position and the future of the club could be in doubt. The club is pulling together and we will be holding several fundraisers to get us back on track. I am appealing to any former players or people involved in local sports to help our cause. Any donation no matter how small is very appreciated!!

2 much needed wins for our club today. A bit more of a posative feel around the place. Even a member of our opposition wished us well today with our fund raising. Good news does travel. Thanls to all that have donated. I do read the messages left for our club. Your donations will make a difference

I have played football with Poppleton United since I was 15 years old. This club has given me many memorable moments on the football pitch and off .as well as making many friends within the community. Local sport means a great deal to me and therefore I am appealing for your help
