My story begins with two very special little boys from Glasgow called Logan and Finn. I have never actually met these boys face to face but they instantly stole my heart when I saw them on social media many months ago. Two brothers with two very different medical conditions (one aged 9 with stage 4 Hodgkins Lyphoma and secondary bone cancer, and the other aged 8 who was born with a heart condition and has a pacemaker). They both receive treatment at 'The Royal Hospital for Children' in Glasgow. However, despite their continuous battles, they both embrace life to the full and nothing gets them down! I am regularly greeted on my Facebook timeline with photos of two beaming smiles! Their positivity and courage has put so many things into perspective for me. These incredible little warriors have become an inspiration to me and since following their story, I have fallen in love with them both. It is for this reason that I have decided to have my long curly hair cut short on Tuesday 20th December.
All money raised will be used to buy toys and presents to fill 'Santa Sacks' that will be delivered to sick children staying in hospital over the Christmas period. The thought of giving these amazing children a reason to smile over Christmas is most definitely worth cutting all my hair off for! My hair will grow back over time ... but that's one thing I have ... TIME ... some of these amazing children don't have that gift. So any gift and act of kindness and any second they spend with a smile on their face has got to be worth something!
So this is for them, my little smiling warriors Logan and Finn ... who I hope one day I will meet personally and I'll get to tell them how inspirational they truly are! xxxxxxxx
