I am currently a second year students at LSBU university studying children’s nursing. As part of the course, I have chosen to complete my 3rd year elective placement with Nurse Uganda to assist charities and programmes that are available for children in Uganda.
This costs around £3000 per student with £1000 going to the charities and the remaining funding is to get us over there and work. To fundraise for this amazing opportunity, we are walking round hospitals in Central London and finishing at the Ugandan embassy on the 10th of September.

Our plan is to start the walk at St Georges hospital > Kings Hospital > Evelina Children’s hospital (Where I am based during my training) > Guy’s hospital > St Bartholomew’s hospital > Great Ormond Street Hospital > University College London Hospital > St Mary’s hospital > Chelsea and Westminster Hospital > Royal Brompton Hospital > Ugandan High commission. All in all, this comes to 21.1 miles.
