Following a life changing mountain bike accident in September 2016, Paul was left paralysed from the chest down. He spent the six months following the accident at University Hospital Wales, Cardiff. Whilst there Paul overcame a number of medical difficulties and eventually, in March 2017 was transferred to Rookwood Spinal Rehabilitation Centre in Llandaff Cardiff.

Mrs Rhian curtis, Pauls wife was my head of year through out school, and she was my teacher in 3 subjects. No matter what time of day it was she would always be there even if it was on her lunch break... she always taught me if you help others you will be helped.. so ive taken that quote to heart. And times like this she needs the help so I will smash my run and all sponsors will get transferred to Pauls fund To help such an amazing family.

Since being at Rookwood, Paul has made vast improvements and is getting stronger with each passing week. He has been given an initial discharge date of September 2017. But sadly, it is unlikely that Paul will be discharged from Rookwood in September because his family home requries a large number of adaptions & changes. The monies raised from this page will go towards adapting & changing Pauls Home.
