Story
This fundraising page has been set up to raise much needed funds in support of 14 year old Charlie’s ever developing Wheelchair Basketball talent. Charlie suffers with two hip conditions, which is extremely rare for someone to have both - Perthes disease and SUFE. Both problems mean Charlie is in pain most days.
The Hip issues detailed above meant at the age of 6 Charlie’s dream of becoming a Premiership footballer disappeared. Luckily for Charlie he was introduced to wheelchair basketball and hasn’t looked back since. He currently plays in the junior league for a team called Thames Valley Kings based in Finchampstead, and National league for Essex based team High Rollers.
Charlie’s CV to date:
2015/2016 - u15 Club player of the season
2016/2017 - u15 South Champions
