Story

Shiksha Rath is an after-school for children who live in a slum in Delhi.

Indian State Schools are notoriously underfunded and the level of education here means often children leave school illiterate. For over 10 years the teachers at Shiksha Rath have been providing after school education for the children with little hope of progressing past this level of education. The school supplements their education, organises activities and exposes them to opportunities they wouldn't otherwise be able to experience.

Chloe and I will be going to Shiksha Rath to inspire their creativity through music classes. We hope to provide them with a musical legacy that will last beyond our visit by donating musical instruments to the school.

As well as this, during our stay in Delhi, we will be teaming up with organisations to help clothe, feed and protect children living on the streets. It is estimated that there are over 100,000 children living on the streets of Delhi. There are countless organisations set up to help these children, and we aim to help them in this ever growing endeavour. More on this to come as we finalise our plans.

We need your support to provide all the help that we can, please donate freely!!
