Weʼve raised £0 to Camps International Trip to Kenya 2018

Closed on Sunday, 15th October 2017

Don't have time to donate right now?

    Story

My school have teamed up with Camps International to give me and around 60 other pupils a once in a lifetime trip to Kenya in the eastern area of Africa for one month in the summer of 2018. This trip however is going to be no holiday... .The trip has been split into four units, spending a week on each one. Let me explain in more detail:

    1. Community
We will spend about a week helping the local community, building toilet blocks, refurbishing class rooms and much more. We will also have a chance to teach English to the local children, cook with the locals and meet a local tribe. In return we will be learning some of their language.

    2.Environment
For our second week we will be helping the environment such as planting trees and teaching the people of Kenya how to maintain the environment so that the community and wildlife can co-exist.

    3.Wildlife
During the third part of our trip we will get the chance to go on a world class safari and see some of the animals that are native to Africa in their natural habitat. Also as elephant poaching is rife in Africa, we will be teaching the locals how to live in harmony with the elephants by making elephant dung paper.

    4.Adventure
The final part to our already amazing trip will be a five day trek to the summit of the second highest mountain in Africa, Mount Kenya where we can enjoy the amazing view from the top.

However to go on this trip I need to fund raise £3800. This is where you come in, by just donating a small amount could give me the chance to go to Africa and help people who are way less fortunate than us and deserve a better life. So please consider donating and I will keep you updated on how we are doing and all the other fundraising I am doing.

So please donate and help someone less fortunate.

    Thank you,
    Charlotte

Last weekend me and my friend, Zoe, went to the Salterforth fun day and set up a stall selling very popular glitter tattoos as a part of our fundraiser. It was an enjoyed day by the both of us and we raised a total of £60
