I've raised £350 to Support 4 Sussex based charities, by running the Brighton Half Marathon on February 24th on behalf of The Mayor of Brighton & Hove.

I will be aiming to complete the Grand Brighton Half Marathon on February 24th, 13.1 miles. Please support me by donating anything you can afford, and I promise never to do anything like this again ;)
I am doing this because I would like to do something to support my mum Dee Simson, who is the current Mayor of Brighton & Hove, before her term ends in May 2019. Part of the role of 'Mayor' is to host and attend events to raise money for local charities. Her four chosen charities are; Rockinghorse, The Martlets, The Grace Eyre Foundation and Off the Fence. These four charities have probably touched the lives of every single person I know in some way or another, and I hope to raise money on behalf of my mum for these incredible causes.
A little about the four charities;
Martlets cares for people living through a terminal illness in and around Brighton and Hove. They offer support in many different ways, to ensure people spend their last days living life to the full.
Rockinghorse is a the official fundraising arm of the Royal Sussex County Hospital, making life better for sick children.
The Grace Eyre Foundation works across Sussex to support people with learning disabilities to achieve their dreams and wishes.
Off the Fence is a registered charity committed to making a real difference in the lives of many that are ‘most at risk’ in our community. They are engaged in four main areas of work in Brighton & Hove:
Antifreeze – Life-saving support for the homeless
Gateway – Supporting Women, restoring dignity
Schools & Youth – Supporting schools in Brighton & Hove
Hygiene for All - Mobile hygiene, laundry and shower vans for the homeless.
