In memory of Ryan gilbert

Thankyou for taking the time to visit our just giving page that has been set up in response to the many requests we have had from family and friends regarding flowers for Ryan’s celebration (please find details as per link https://www.funeralguide.co.uk/obituaries/67122 )

As you will now know Ryan tragically and devastatingly took his own life just 26 years old on the 27th August 2019. We will never have all the answers we would like as to why just our own opinions & assumptions but having them would probably not bring any more comfort and definitely wouldn’t do what we all wish for the most... bring him back.

Our amazingly unique, fun and lovable son, brother, uncle, nephew, grandson, friend is now victim to an ever growing statistic. So many men now suffer in silence from mental health issues , not getting any or the right help they need,trying and failing to fight their own demons,anxieties and troubles.

Ryan had the biggest heart ever! He helped anyone he could by any means he could. He was supportive, helpful, friendly,caring and always there to listen. He was SELFLESS! With that said as a family our obvious choice is that in lieu of flowers we would politely and appreciatively ask for donations to be made in Ryan’s memory to our local charity changes, as we believe no-one should face mental health problems alone

Changes (www.changestamworth.com) is a mental health charity providing unique recovery and well-being service to those in mental distress. They offer a safe and confidential environment to help those isolated in anxiety, a range of workshops , support groups and much more,

This is what Ryan would have wanted,to help others fight their battles and to try and make a difference in any way possible. We created this online donation page as many said they would prefer to do it this way then via donation box on the day. We thank everyone in advance knowing Ryan and choosing to donate in his memory and those choosing to Who didnt know Ryan but want to help the cause and help provide mental health help
