I've raised £500 to help fund my 1 month expedition to rural Fiji to volunteer in a local school.

In June 2019 I will be travelling to rural Fiji to volunteer for 1 month with Think Pacific. During my time in Fiji I will be staying in a rural village with a local family. The expedition is centered around improving the education for children in these communities by volunteering in a local school with kids of school age and kindergarten age, primarily teaching English, Maths and Sports.
I will also be running a 10k on the 3rd March 2019 to raise money for my expedition and so any donation of any size would be amazing as I really really hate running but will more than happily try my best for the cause.
In rural Fiji, 75% of children live in poverty and only 50% of the rural population have access to safe drinking water and proper sanitation. Schools are in a poor condition and devoid of basic materials and many children drop out of education early. Sport and extra-curricular activities are limited to non-existent. This is why the work of Think Pacific is so important and really making a difference to the people of rural Fiji.
All money raised will be going towards my expedition and Think Pacific which will help purchase educational and sports equipment, fund scholarships and training for local people, build village facilities and school classrooms and so much more. The total cost of my expedition is £1295 which doesn't include the flights so any donation, no matter how big or small will really make a difference.
Please visit thinkpacific.com for more information about the expedition, the story behind the organisation as well as a complete cost breakdown which shows exactly where all the money raised goes to.
