I've raised £1000 to fund a trip to Bwindi, Uganda to support teachers and students in the community.

Hello Everyone!
My name is Charlotte and I am a primary school teacher in Corby, Northamptonshire. I am incredibly lucky to have been given the opportunity to travel to Bwindi, Uganda with LRTT: Limited Resource Teacher Training in partnership with Inspiring Futures (charity number: 1148464).
I will be working as part of a team of teachers to support a community where people live on less than £3.85 a day. The programme aims to improve the quality of education in these areas through teacher development. Research shows that the quality of teaching is the single biggest factor influencing learning in schools, and the most effective way to improve the quality of teaching is to empower teachers to up-skill each other.
I am incredibly passionate about education and in my belief that a quality education should be available to all. Through this opportunity I will be able to work as part of a global teacher movement that shares knowledge, skills and resources that we take for granted! In doing this I hope to be able to make some small difference and be part of something that is bigger than myself.
To make this trip a reality I need to raise enough money to purchase my flights, accommodation and if possible a donation of supplies/ funding for the project.
I would like to say a massive thank you to anyone who is able to donate, this is a cause that is very close to my heart and your support means everything!
Thank you!
