I've raised £5000 to Help Pony Pursuits adapt our disused playground for Pony Therapy Sessions in Wood Farm Oxford

Pony pursuits started up in oxford in 2008 with just two ponies, with an aim of making horse riding accessible to everyone regardless of age, experience and financial status. Over time we had more and more requests from parents or carers of children and adults with special needs, such as cerebral palsy, autism, ADHD, developmental delay, aspergers, PTSD, mental health conditions etc etc for an opportunity to groom and interact with the ponies. However due to the property prices in oxford we have never been able to offer a.private and secure location to offer such sessions. However, In 2015 we managed to purchase a small disused playground in woodfarm and after renovating the area we started to offer "ride & groom" sessions which are in high demand but are sadly very limited due to the delightful british weather combined with having no shelter whatsoever at our woodfarm location. We have started working with local schools, providing educational pony therapy sessions to children with varying complex needs and it has been amazing for all involved! We want to.be able to offer these sessions regularly and extend them to the general public too but we regularly have to cancel sessions due to poor weather conditions.
Essentially we are turning to the general.public to ask for your support.however small, so that we can build a combined pony shelter/undercover grooming area and craft/education/refreshment room.
This would enable us to stay open several days a week, regardless of the weather and to offer our ride & groom / pony therapy sessions to the people of oxford whom we sadly have to keep turning away!
