Story
We are about to celebrate our boys first birthday, he was born 8 weeks premature, when he came into this world we heard no cry’s just the rush of a fantastic team who got our boy on a ventilator and helped him take his first breaths. Our boy was incubated and monitored by the wonderful staff at Royal Preston Neo-Natal ward. They work extremely hard to monitor your baby and help them grow into the beauties they are ment to be. Not only do they do this but they have open arms to you as new parents, they tell you everything will be alright, they teach you how to support your tiny baby. They encourage you to bond with your baby, even with all the wires and the beeping they keep you calm in what seems like a very manic world. They make situations that seem so unbearable at times a little more bearable. They work with precision when cannulating the tiniest of veins or performing life saving operations. They truly where our hero’s. We are raising money today to give something back. We are inviting friends and family to join us celebrate, not only our boy but the hard work that the nurses and drs do to have kept our little one fighting as well as they have. Today we have a child’s entertainer, unicorn horse, photo booths, bouncy castle, fire engine, ambulance and afternoon tea, and all we are asking is a £5 donation to the charity baby beat. A lot of friends and family will be joining us today and Theodore is extremely excited. As he likes to do everything early he was extremely excited at 5am this morning so if you see us falling asleep against a wall today give us a nudge. We are just setting this page up for those who asked me how to donate as they aren’t able to join us, and for those who just want to show a little appreciation to wonderful teams like those on the Neo-Natal, without them and the NHS as a whole we dont know what our story would have been, so today we are proud as a family, to not only work for the NhS but also sooo very proud of others that do, and for that today it is not just about our boy but about getting teams like the Neo-Natal some vital funds. So please dig deep, because you never know you might just need them one day. Much love from the Naylor-Thomas family, especially our boy Theodore ❤️❤️❤️
