I'm raising £5,000 for an emergency

We are raising money to help save a much-loved family cat, Sox, who has been the victim of a cruel and shocking act.

Sox, a gentle and friendly cat belonging to my friend’s young son, was recently found in severe pain after being shot in the eye. This has left him with a devastating injury that now requires urgent emergency treatment and surgery to prevent further suffering and give him a chance at recovery.

The situation has been heartbreaking for the family, especially for a child who is watching his beloved pet go through such trauma. Sox isn’t just a cat — he’s a companion, a comfort, and a cherished part of their family.

The emergency vet visit and the specialist eye surgery have come at a huge and unexpected cost, and we are trying to raise funds to help cover:

• Emergency veterinary care

• Pain relief and medication

• Specialist eye surgery

• Aftercare and recovery support
