I've raised £2500 to go on a four week expedition to Cambodia in 2018, where I will be improving living standards in the local community.

Next summer, I will have the exciting opportunity of being part of a four week expedition to Cambodia with Camps International. Whilst there I will be working on projects which will have a life-changing impact on the local community – now and for years to come.
Cambodia is one of the poorest countries in Asia with some of the population living below the poverty line. During my stay in Cambodia I will be involved in projects such as education, housing, health care and sanitation, food and water security and environmental projects. Every project Camps International start, they complete due to dedicated volunteers like myself.
The total cost of the expedition is £4000, of which 40% of the money goes towards investing in the local economies, communities, wildlife and environmental conservation, 42% of the money goes towards flights, insurance, accommodation, food etc, 15% goes towards support costs and the final 3% goes towards other costs such as expanding into other communities if the need is there.
One of the ways myself and my friends will be fund raising for the expedition is by doing a sponsored swim and a sponsored walk. On the 27th September, together, we will be swimming a total of 6000 meters (as it is 6000 miles to Cambodia). Then, on the 14th October, we will be walking from Buckingham Palace to Windsor Castle which is a total of 22 miles.
I appreciate any pledges and support you can offer to help me achieve my goal and fulfill a project I am very passionate and excited about.
Many thanks,
Charlotte Allan
