I've raised £200 to help others in memory of Charlotte Grace

As many of you will know, our angel Charlotte Grace was somewhat impatient to meet us. At 32 weeks pregnant I found myself rushing to hospital unexpectedly late at night and Charlotte was born just a few hours later in the early hours of 10th February 2011. Too beautiful to stay, we shared precious time with her - giving her a lifetime of love in the short time we had. Because of the rush to get to hospital, and because Charlotte arrived early I found myself at hospital with no overnight bag, no toiletries, no small comforts to make me feel human.
In memory of Charlotte, and to celebrate her 8th birthday, I want to raise money to provide small comfort kits to mums and dads who find themselves in a similar situation. These kits will include essential items, which are not readily available, such as a toothbrush, shampoo, shower gel, deodorant etc and will be provided to Leeds Teaching Hospitals.
This may sound a minor thing but little things like this may just help new parents feel a little bit better when life takes them by surprise. And for some, like us, who may find themselves experiencing the worst moment of their lives, this may just provide a little comfort and a sense of normality when their lives have been turned upside down.
Having already identified where I can source these products, in volume to keep cost low, I know that every £1 raised will fund one of these kits.
