Story
Charlotte Snowden, my brilliant friend, esteemed photographer, mother, all round ray of sunshine and full of ‘va va voom’ came off her horse and hit a wall on the final jump of the competition dislocating her neck at Checkendon Equestrian Centre on January 15 2022.
She suffered a c5 dislocation fracture causing spinal damage and tetrapleagia, paralysed from chest down with little use of hands.
Life changed in a second.

She was taken to John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford and had a nine-hour operation on her spine.
In April, Charlotte moved from the RBH to the National Spinal Injuries Centre at Stoke Mandeville Hospital in Buckinghamshire. Every day Charlotte puts in hours of work in the gym, hydropools and is doing all the rehab she can get! She always gives everything 110% as I am sure you already know.
We are hoping Charlotte can return home to her children and animals in a few months time but there are some very expensive modifications and equipment required to make the transition easier, the wheelchair alone costs £15,000.
So many of you have felt as helpless as I have and we all want to do our bit to help. Please donate (however small) every little helps get our girl back where she belongs comfortably ❤️
