I've raised £300 to go towards the rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming of unwanted dogs and cats. I will be doing a zip line and freefall jump on 16.06.18.

Story

Almost Home is an animal charity very close to my heart. I have been volunteering with them for over a year which has been extremely rewarding and at times heartbreaking. Almost Home rescue unwanted dogs/cats, many of whom have health problems. They then work tirelessly to rehome them.

Some older dogs are permanent residents at Almost Home and live in Heather House. This is a wonderful home for elderly dogs who through no fault of their own, ended up homeless and unwanted.

We also run a puppy unit for when dogs come in already pregnant. Almost Home spay and neuter as our aim is to reduce irresponsible breeding, but with that comes additional vet costs.

In addition to dogs and cats, the shelter is home to many other animals such as hens, turkeys, rabbits, degus and guinea pigs. We have no paid staff but many wonderful and dedicated volunteers.

I am participating in a zipline and freefall on 16.06.18 for Almost Home. Donations will go towards feeding the animals, providing vet treatment and the increasing costs of day to day running of the rescue. Your support means the world to me.
