    Story

We are raising money for two of Stoke on Trent's most impowering women, Charl & Leah.

We came across Charl and Leah's social media pages and discovered that they are both sharing their incredible stories, battling with cancer.

Unfortunately both of these incredible ladies are fighting Cervical Caner, with Charl's diagnosis moving to stage 4B - the worst stage there is and unfortunately, it is terminal. The cancer has spread to her hip, this now means she has secondary bone cancer, sometimes known as metastasis. Charl is not giving up her fight and is looking at alternative treatments that come at incredible costs.

Both of these incredible women are going through gruelling rounds chemotherapy and treatments which, as you can imagine are not without their side effects.

Myself and 2 friends Daniel & Conor, will be taking part in a triathlon in the height of winter, which can only be described as the worst time to complete a triathlon. As an open water swim will not be possible at this time of year, we will be each attempting to complete a 20 length indoor swim followed by a 25 mile bike ride and a 3 mile run! It might not sound so bad on paper but since the first lockdown we have all eaten a quarter of a million takeaways and done next to no exercise so trust me, with just over 3 weeks of preparation it is going to be a challenge to get our swimming trucks on! P.S Conor cant actually swim so we might need to chuck him some armbands and teach him how to doggy paddle!

You will be able to follow our story on the 11th December, we plan to give you some good entertainment but mainly we would like to raise some money for Charl & Leah which will help with treatment costs, or even just money before Christmas or Leah's Wedding pot. Both Charl and Leah are not working so they can concentrate on themselves rightfully so, so lets raise some money for them so that we can take the stress away of any costs around the Christmas period.

The money raised will be split evenly between Charl & Leah as soon as we have completed the challenge!

Please wish us luck and thank you for taking the time to read and donate no matter how small!
