    Story

Despite working from home, as advised by the Government during the COVID-19 pandemic, Chasebridge Wealth Management Ltd, has shown how united they are by announcing each team member has their own part to play in the epic challenge.

Starting from June 1, the team of six are hoping to collectively complete the equivalent distance from Land’s End in Cornwall to John O’Groats, the far northern point of Scotland, by either running or walking.

The six-week time frame they have set themselves to complete the challenge* means every participant will have to embark upon completing on average 30 miles, or four miles more than a marathon on a weekly basis.

They all agreed to this huge task to bring them all together while working form home and motivate them all to get physically active and encourage them to work as one big team! The bonus here is they will also be raising money for two hugely important local charities, which might be overlooked amid all the fundraising for those impacted by COVID-19.

Small Act of Kindness is a charity that sources and distributes practical gifts to older people in Hertfordshire who may be struggling and are vulnerable.

Herts Young Homeless provides services to support vulnerable people and works to prevent homelessness among 16-24-year olds.

Thank you to the team (Gordon, Maxine, Miten, Nikki, Peter and Pippa) for volunteering and their efforts and all supporters for any sponsorship.

*We are using The Conqueror events virtual missions to track our progress collectively.

"I won’t lie, it’s been a challenge fitting in the miles around work and home-schooling my three girls. However, if I’m ever struggling for motivation I just have to remind myself why we’re doing it! Both charities are playing vital roles in the lives of many vulnerable people in Herts and they are so worthy of every penny we manage to raise," says Pippa Judson, Senior Advisor Assistant here at Chasebridge Wealth Management Ltd.

Ahead of schedule due to the drive and determination of the team, under 150 miles to go now! We virtually visited Loch Ness, Scotland's second largest but deepest loch, with no sight of Nessie, the famous monster. Thank you to all those that have kindly sponsored us. We are nearly there!
