£7,994raised of £18,276 target by 139 supporters

Weʼve raised £7,994 to thank three fantastic charities that have helped me and my family.

Funded on Thursday, 27th September 2018

    What is crowdfunding?

Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.

The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.

I am trying to help people and their families who are affected by cancer so that they do not have to suffer from the same loss as me and my family.

My beautiful Mum lost her beautiful life fighting until the very last second to cancer. Before my Mum passed away I made a promise to her that I would raise £1,000 for every year of her amazing life. I will be organising fundraising events until I reach the total of £43,000.

So far we have raised over £24,500 which is amazing. We have had tea and cake sales, ran marathons, got lost walking the Yorkshire Peaks, entered boxing fights, shaved our heads, danced and laughed our way to this brilliant total. This year my Dad ran a marathon and lots of friends took part in a brilliant bike ride. We still need more events to get to £43,000.

I would like to especially thank Redrow Homes, Salford Harriers, Seven Brothers Brewery amongst others for their fantastic generosity so far.

The support around my family from the various charities has been so helpful and my thank you is raising money for them.

The whole world will see the difference when there is a cure to all cancers.

All donations will be split between Macmillan, St. Ann's Hospice and The Christie to make sure that an end to cancer comes sooner.

On Saturday 1st September, I will be completing a marathon sporting challenge to raise money for the family charities. Along with my friends Patrick, Liam and Dylan I will be a completing a marathon bike ride from Morecambe in the West to Bridlington in the East. To put this into perspective it is around 140 miles, around 12 hours in the saddle. The Coast to Coast is seen as a three day bike ride for biking enthusiasts, more serious cyclists take on the challenge over two days. Fundraisers/idiots try to do the route in one day. Thanks.
