The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, once said, “Whoever builds a masjid for Allah SWT , Allah will build for him a house like it in Jannah".

Assalamu Alaikum.

My dear brothers and sisters, in this holy month of Ramadan we seek your help in raising awareness and money to help acquire a community centre for our prayer facilities. As well as for islamic education for all our muslim brothers and sisters in Chadwell Heath to have access to.

WHO ARE WE?

Chadwell Heath Educational and Cultural Society (CHEACS), we are a local registered charity established in 2005 (registration number 1125112) providing religious, educational and social activities for the local community such as sports and recreational activities, educational sessions for children, language classes and events for senior citizens. Every six months we hold community events with the wider community and provide food for attendees once a month. Our organisation also provides advice surgeries once a week to set an example as great role models, to be of a good character and integrate into the local community. We have been serving the local community for the last seventeen years and have grown from strength to strength. The site Grove Social Club is located at 50 Grove Road, Romford, RM6 4AQ this facility would be a great local base for us to serve the needs of the residents.

BACKGROUND OF THE CAUSE

We would like to inform everyone that for over 17 years our charity organisation have been trying to buy a facility within Chadwell Heath for prayer sessions and other education purposes but we have struggled to gain planning permission or have been denied access or support by our local representatives to make a masjid in Chadwell Heath. However, in this holy month of Ramadan, we have finally received an opportunity to bid for a community centre known as Grove Social Club and In shaa Allah with all your help and support collectively we will be able to obtain this building and convert it into a masjid and an educational, sports facility for all our Muslim brothers and sisters to have access to as well as other members in society. We have a target of £950,000.00 to reach in order to place our bid for this site. However, we seek from you to help raise £50,000.00 by May 20th 2022 we must have the amount in our account. I am aware this may seem a lot but with the help of every single individual who has clicked onto this link and is reading this, and by the help of Allah SWT i am sure we will be able to raise this amount. Alhamdullilah our Community members have pledged to donate in order to help acquire this building but we still need your support in raising the full amount.

WHAT ARE OUR AIMS?

CHEACS as charity organisation seek to provide and not limited to a range of spiritual and Community services that improve the quality of life of beneficiaries visiting or residing in Chadwell Heath. Also, CHEACS aim to purchase the Grove Social Club to carry out activities divided into the following; Religious Services, Education and Training, Social Welfare, Community Cohesion, Economic Development, Sports recreation, Senior Citizen Events and Youth citizen events to help children in our community to utilise their time effectively turning our environment a better place for youngsters to reside and progress in society.

Donating towards this cause with the aim of building a masjid ensures our ummah can have a safe place of worship. The benefits of this donation will be countless, even the smallest donation will support our goal. We are so lucky to have this opportunity within our local community. A Masjid is the blessed house of Allah, and the heart of any Muslim community. It’s a sacred place of worship, contemplation, celebration and spiritual fulfilment, alhamdulillah!

Attending the masjid allows us to be closer to Allah (SWT). You can help us build a masjid in a community that is lacking and empower those who live there with a greater connection to the Almighty. When you step foot in a masjid, you have the opportunity to join together with your Islamic community to receive the many blessings of communal worship and Islamic education without any restriction and read the Qur'an, provide Islamic educational lessons for all our children. A place where people can come for comfort in an area where they are less fortunate than ourselves. We can celebrate our faith together or mourn the loss of loved ones, find strength in our Lord through prayer or seek council on Islamic matters. It is our home away from home.
