Cheadle Masjid Waqf Project - 2017

Alhamdulillah this is a blessed Masjid; all Massajid are blessed but Cheadle Masjid has an additional blessing in that it is so active and it has such a dynamic community and a wonderful team of volunteers.

Masha'Allah the Masjid is growing with so many activities and classes taking place.

A Mosque Development application has been submitted - this will help better cater for the Masjid's needs. The application has been a culmination of a lot of hard work and support from the community.

In the meantime, a property / building has been identified close to the existing Masjid, that is of strategic interest. It also comes with a sizeable piece of land. As such, it has many potential used such as:

- Additional classrooms for the children's weekday / weekend school / madrassah.
- Providing a welcoming space for older men and ladies socials.
- Cooking facilites and potential provision of cooking classes.
- Adult education classes.
- It's land could allow permitted developments of meeting rooms or 24/7 prayer facilities for travellers for when the main Masjid is closed.
- Additional office space.

Failing these uses, the property can be used as a Waqf and rented out to provide income for the Masjid.

I have committed to trying to raise £10,000 towards the cost of purchasing this property (total cost is £200,000) and therefore would really appreciate any donations you can make towards this hugely noble cause.

This is an amazing opportunity to partake in sadaqah jaariyah (ongoing / continuous charity) which will support the activities of the Masjid for years to come insha'Allah.

The Messenger of Allah (saw) said "whoever builds a mosque for Allah, then Allah will build for him a house like it in Paradise" (Bukhari).
