I've raised £500 to bring hope & help to people in Dundee suffering with addiction as well as people living with family who suffer with addiction.

After winning the Young Scot Award this year I made a few personal goals that I wanted to achieve whilst holding the title. These goals mainly consisted of trying to have the most opportunities to share my stories to professionals and to young people - hopefully inspiring at least one person to view things differently. Another goal was to have an opportunity to share my story with policy makers and after meeting our wonderful First Minister - I think that goal has been achieved!!
Another goal I had was to do something to raise money for people dealig with addiction. Over the past few months I have been racking my brains of what I'd like to do for the fundraiser. Last month I ran a 5K to support a friend with her own fundraising efforts and since then I've been "trying" to get into a little bit of running - So here we have it - a win win to try to improve my fitness level and raise money to support recovery in Dundee.
