On the 20th September 2026, I will be running the Cheltenham Half Marathon to raise money to support the group "Cheltenham Action for Nature". https://cheltenhamactionfornature.org/

Set up by a small team of passionate residents, Cheltenham Action for Nature aims to bring people, groups and organisations together to help deliver real, practical action for nature across Cheltenham. The organisation strongly believes that an increase in biodiversity and engagement with the natural world can help build a resilient and connected community in the coming years, as well as support efforts to fight climate change. Cheltenham Action For Nature is a community-led group, driving and supporting practical projects that protect wildlife, create habitats, and support nature connection throughout Cheltenham.

Projects include "Wild about Cheltenham" which includes the "The Charlton Kings Swift & House Martin Support Group" which helps these amazing birds by creating nest sites for them house by house across the area. "The Green Thread" focuses on linking parks, streets, verges and gardens for wildlife while "Waters in Balance" raises awareness of the importance of our rivers, streams, lakes and ponds. "Our Living Land" helps people manage their land for wildlife while "Roots and Shoots" brings the community together to help grow for biodiversity and make Cheltenham’s allotments, community gardens and private spaces more productive and resilient.

Even just a few pounds can put up a new bird or bat box, plant a tree or go towards creating a pond.
