Story
The story so far. Dennis was only 35 years old when he suddenly collapsed at work on Christmas Eve 2016. He was taken to Hull Royal Infirmary and was diagnosed with high grade 4 glioma on Christmas day 2016. He underwent a right temporal craniotomy and debulking of the tumour on 04/01/2017. He went on to have radiotherapy and chemotherapy which was working well, untill November 2017 a new MRI scan showed marked progression in the brain. It was discussed in a CNS - MDT meeting that Dennis would need more surgery, so on the 13/12/2017 & 22/08/2018 he had another 2 operations to debulk the tumour. He has had several types of chemotherapy but the tumour is still growing. We are running out of time and options. His consultant has offered him a new trial of chemotherapy. Unfortunately it is not available on the NHS. There is a really good chance that this new treatment could work but Dennis will need at least 6 sessions of this treatment. The cost for 6 sessions is £24,000. We are trying to raise a minimum of £8,000 for 2 sessions of treatment to see if there is any improvement. Please support Dennis if you can. Dennis really wants to get back to work and live life to the full.
