Story

We're a group of AFC Bournemouth employees who are looking forward to life returning to normal. In a time that has been so challenging for many people, we feel very fortunate to have made it through the last year happy and healthy, but want to give something back to the community at a time where local causes are perhaps more in need than ever before. As a result we are undertaking a charity walk on Sunday 11th July 2021 to raise money for the Cherries Community Fund. The Fund, set up by the club, has provided financial assistance to projects that help to develop young people and vulnerable groups, or those that promote sport and a healthy lifestyle in the area of Dorset.

The Fund is usually financed from the proceeds of our popular Cherries Community Draw, which in normal circumstances would take place at half-time of home games at Vitality Stadium. Due to fixtures being played behind closed doors since March last year, the Fund hasn't had any income since our last home game with a full crowd, in February 2020.

We're hoping to rectify that this summer, with a 20-mile walk that starts at Anvil Point Lighthouse near Swanage and finishes at Vitality Stadium, the home of AFC Bournemouth.

No donation is too small and any support is greatly appreciated.

Together, anything is possible and up the Cherries!

Thank you from the Coastbusters.
