Firstly, thank you for taking the time to look at our appeal.

Let me introduce myself. My name is Cheryl and I have been the Christmas Shoebox co-ordinator here at Rock Christian Centre for the past 5 years. We work alongside Amen to provide families and orphanages in the most poverty stricken parts of Romania with a shoebox at Christmas time full of treats and essentials.

Last year was the first time I set up a crowd funding account to help with the restriction of COVID as we were not able to meet and fund raise as before. it was a huge success and through just funding alone we were able to raise £755 which helped make up 147 boxes which were sent out to families in need. It was that much of a success that I thought it would be a good item to set one up again for anyone that would like to donate this way. This year with all the after effects of COVID I think these boxes are desperately needed even more. To be that light in the darkness. My aim is to again send out as many boxes as possible with your help.

Due to restrictions lifting and more people meeting in person, people may want to donate items in person again which I am more than happy to collect. Please message me and we can arrange convenient time.

Each shoebox costs £10-£15 to prepare and send. However any donation amounts would be gladly received. Also, if you would like your donation amount to buy something in particular, for example a doll, toy cars, sewing kits, gloves.......... please leave a message with the donation and I am happy to do that.

Please note: Amen will be collecting boxes around the 20th November so we don't have much time.
