Story

Two years ago my 5 year old son, at the time, joined a local grassroots football team which began with a handful of children. That handful of children has now grown into 7 teams across three age groups, ranging from under 7's to under 9's.

Each week our superstars meet for their weekly training with approximately 70 children.

Our training venue does not currently facilitate a defibrillator. Although hopefully it is never necessary, this piece of kit could potentially be the difference between life and death in the event of a cardiac arrest.

A defibrillator is so crucial because:

* Sudden cardiac arrest is the leading cause of death in young athletes. Most often the death occurs during training or competition.

*A defibrillator can increase the survival chances by 68%. Without this 90-95% of cardiac cases will sadly die.

Thank you for taking the time to read this, all donations whether great or small, will be hugely appreciated by all.
