Story

A message from Julie...

Hi everyone......1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in the UK in their lifetime under the age of 39, I was one of them.

In September I was given the devastating news that I have secondary breast cancer at the age of 32. Where my cancer is not curable, it is treatable so I will be getting cancer treatment for the rest of my life. My goal in life is to make wonderful memories with my husband and my son who is 4 years old.

After coming through 18 weeks of chemotherapy initially, I am doing well on my new treatment plan so now is the time to get out there and make those memories. A great memory will be walking alongside my colleagues on the 17th August for the Glasgow Shine Walk. A 10K will be a huge challenge for me but I hope to be able to complete it.

Thank so much for all your support!

Julie
