    Story

My school have teamed up with Camp International to give me and around 30 other pupils a once in a lifetime trip to Peru in the South America for one month in the summer of 2019. However, this trip is no holiday. The trip has been split into three units and I will spend time in different communities undertaking various projects. Let me explain in more detail:

    Toilet Building Project (Moray)

The small rural community in Moray is extremely poor with no basic sanitation or sewage. We are helping to construct toilet blocks in each of the houses in the village, providing families and vulnerable elderly residents with proper sanitation facilities.

    School Improvement (Titicaca)

The communities surrounding Lake Titicaca remain some of the poorest in Peru. The remoteness and inaccessibility of this region means that there is little or no help available from surrounding regions. Helping by continuing to build community facilities and a classroom for villagers in addition to restoring the school greenhouse.

    Schools Improvement (Colca)

The small community near our Camp Colca sits on the edge of the mighty Colca Canyon at 3,600 metres above sea level. Due to its remoteness and relatively harsh environmental conditions, the community here is very poor. I’ll help by continuing the school building project to improve the lives of this charming community.

However, to go on this trip I need to fundraise; This is where you come in, by just donating a small amount you could give me the opportunity to go to Peru and help people who are way less fortunate than you or I and deserve a better life. So please consider donating; I will keep you updated on how we are doing together with all the fundraising activities I am doing.

    Love Chloe xx

I am a year 10 pupil at Regent House Grammar School. A trip to Peru would give me a unique opportunity to integrate with new cultures and improve their living conditions, speak new languages, make new and lasting friendships and improve my leadership and team-working skills.
