Story

James Brindley School KS4 provides an education for teenage pupils from challenging backgrounds. They may have Anxiety, Autism, ADHD etc. They have often experienced bullying. They have had few opportunities to enjoy life for many reasons, but mainly because of poor communication skills and also due to an miss-understanding and lack of central funding for their complex needs before they come to us.

These pupils come to our sites from all across Birmingham seeking Social, Emotional and Mental Health support and to gain self-identity and a sense of belonging.

Football is a common language which these pupils use to gain friendships and self-esteem. They have amazing skills!

They have asked to be able to play against teams from other settings and this is an achievement in itself. We need funds to purchase suitable kit for approx. 24 boys and girls, of differing sizes as soon as possible.

Many Thanks!
