I've raised £3500 to support the fight against childhood cancer

We are fundraising to raise awareness of the impact of childhood cancer on children, friends, families and society.
In the UK, USA and Europe, the rate of surviving childhood cancer is above 80%. The chance of surviving childhood cancer in developing countries can be as low as 10% and over 1,000 young lives are lost to cancer each day. According to the Teenager Cancer Trust, 1 in 7 cancer patients in the UK is a teenager. Cancer does not discriminate against age , race, ethnicity or religion, it affects all children.
Chigwell Tours is dedicating its eighth annual 10km fundraising walk this year in Hainault Forest to raise money for charities that support childhood cancer treatment locally in Essex and in developing countries around the world (Ghana). Join us at Hainault Forest on Sunday 24th September 2023 from 3pm to 6pm to walk 10km for a worthy cause. We encourage you to get involved in the walk and feel free to bring along family or friends! You can also support this fundraising walk by making a donation.
Registering to walk can be done online here and costs £15 for adults or £2 for children (12+)

Haven House Children’s Hospice was founded in the early 1990’s by Sue Irwin, who was a registered general nurse, a registered midwife, and a health visitor. Their vision is to deliver the best quality care for extraordinary children and their families when and where they choose. They support children and families in Northeast London, West Essex and East Hertfordshire.
World Child Cancer is an international children’s charity that addresses global inequality in childhood cancer care, particularly in developing countries. Their vision is a world where every child with cancer has equal access to the best treatment and care. They focus on four key pillars that will help them move closer to their vision: improving treatment, family support, early diagnosis, and advocacy.
