I work as a Early Years Practitioner and most often, I see the dread and the sorrow in the eyes of young children when they discover that their parents are leaving them with us- the practitioners at nursery.

After parents have left, children very rarely want to be held, comforted or consoled. They just want to cry and be angry. However, after much comforting, trust and adaptation to their new environment the children eventually realise and understand that their parents/ carers will always comes back for them.

But what about the children whose parents have left them some place and have never come back? What about the children who have no one to lookout for them? What about them? Who looks out for their them?

Naturally and rightfully so, there are mothers and fathers who cater to the needs of their birth child(ren), but there are children across the globe, who never get to experience the warmth and the security of having a family and knowing what true love really feels like...

... and that's where Children of Destiny comes in.

Why am I doing this?

If you were to ask anyone who is close to me, 'what interests Antonia'? Their first answer would be, 'anything to do with love' and their second answer would be, 'babies'!

I believe that once you know who you are in Christ, you can begin to see why you are, the way you are and the truth is, is that each person is created in a way that is a compliment to their nation, their purpose and their assignment.

By nature I would say I am very much a nurturer, very softly spoken, quite quiet and I love peaceful environments ...perfect ingredients for loving broken children back to life...

My nation is to the broken, the lost and to the hurting children. My purpose and assignment is to go out to the broken, lost and hurting children and bring them back to the KINGDOM! I bring restoration to the lives of children, through love, care and security. My role is to reach children at the foundation level of their lives so that they grow up knowing who they are. It is when children know who they are from day one, that, they are able to grow up in wise counsel, making better choices for themselves impacting not just themselves but for their future generations to come simply just by having a 'KINGDOM MINDED WAY OF THINKING'.

...so I'm on a mission- throughout the year and for many years to come I will be travelling throughout Africa and Asia volunteering, sponsoring children, feeding children, nurturing them and loving them. My first stop is Kenya and I would be most grateful if you could donate to my cause.

On Sunday 8th April 2018, I will be running a race with an organisation called, ‘Run Through’ in Wimbledon Common to raise money for, 'Children of Destiny'. You are most welcome to watch and support as I raise funds for children in need.

I'll always be sure to send you video and picture updates to share with you where your money is going and how it is impacting the children's lives.
