Every year the newly appointed Mayor and Deputy Mayor supported by their fellow council members raise money for their chosen charities.

This year Mayor Sue Reece and Deputy Mayor Pearl Malpas are raising funds in support of:

Chilton Toy Appeal- This year there will be families who have to make the difficult decision between heating their home, buying food and essential items or giving a gift to their children. We want to keep the magic alive by ensuring that every child and young person in Chilton has a gift to open on Chiristmas morning.

Blood Cancer Uk- over 280,000 people of all ages are living with blood cancer (leukaemia, lymphoma, myeloma) 40,000 more diagnosed each year. Funding for research has already increased life expectancy for all types of blood cancer and with continued support there is confidence that we will soon be able to beat it !
