Story

I first met my friend Chinthaka 4 years ago. He was working at a retreat centre. He is kind, caring, very softly spoken & extremely helpful loving gentleman. He is also a top athlete with 10 gold medals!

He is 33 years old, married with a 3 year old little girl. He lives in a Sri Lankan village with his elderly parents.

Sadly he had a terrible motorbike accident & has suffered horrific brain injuries.

He spent 3 months in hospital with no movement, no memory, no communication - eventually the hospital sent him home as there was nothing more they could do for him.

His family never gave up hope. They continued with the medication but also introduced him to natural herbal medicine and now he is making a slow but very steady recovery!

Another 3 months on & he can now sit & stand. Shuffle. Drink & eat from a straw. Memory is returning. He has use of 1 arm & 1 hand. He speaks in short sentences (& in English!!)

He is such a courageous and determined young man with so much to live for, but he needs funds to continue receiving the medication & natural remedies.

When I went to visit him recently I was horribly shocked by his injuries, but equally overwhelmed to see his determination! He was so grateful to learn that we were going to try & help him, he attempted to bend & kiss my feet (I'm told its the highest form of respect!) ….. I have never felt so humble in my entire life!

Without the medication & herbal treatment he cant continue to progress, but sadly, all this cost money!! He is a village boy living a simple life & money is very limited.

Please, please help my friend. His life is solely dependent on our funds. He is a kind, loving human being with so much to live for! Please help me to help him x
