Story
We are actively trying to increase our coverage of the Chorley community so we can continue to be effective in providing life-saving skills where they are needed. To achieve this goal, the group needs to raise a modest amount of money to procure new defibrillators to allow the volunteers to respond in the best way possible. Each responders kit costs £2,500 to buy to enable a responder to be active.
The CFR team whilst operating for North West Ambulance Service, are a voluntary and self-funded organisation run by people living in the local community for the benefit of the local community.
Our ask is for your assistance in proving donations or sponsorship our team to allow us activate new responders and ultimately increase the survival rate for our-of-hospital-cardiac-arrest (OHCA). The local community would benefit from a fast response and potentially life saving treatment whilst waiting for a blue-light ambulance. Responders are members of the local community who volunteer their time to train and respond and could be one of your neighbours.
We currently have volunteers in the following areas: Heapey, Adlington, Eaves Green, Charnock Richard, Clayton Brook, Chorley, Euxton and Buckshaw Village.
