Story

On 4th December I'm running 30km over Mount Batur to raise money for the Chloe Orphanage in Denpasar.

I once ran a marathon in 2008 on the pancake flat Berlin course. This route goes over Mount Batur which is twice the height of the highest mountain in England (Scafell Pike) so this is a major undertaking for me.

We are raising money for this orphanage after our friend Jackie (the blonde lady in the middle of the photo) highlighted their plight. They are a small orphanage with only 17 children and as such they often get missed off.

They need some really basic things like bodywash and underwear. Stuff that we take for granted. Hopefully we can raise much more than that and give them a Xmas to remember for all the right reasons.

But this also means that you will be able see the direct impact that your donations will have on their lives.

I'm running the trail race on Saturday so it's a really quick turn around.

Don't think about it, just sponsor us a few quid, you won't miss it and it will make a real difference. I'll follow this up with an update of everything we have bought for the orphanage. Photos and a visit myself.
