Story

Karen Land is a 39 year old Mother of 5 and serving Firefighter with Nottinghamshire fire and rescue service. Karen was recently diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer and given the devastating news that she has only 3 months to live.
Her only hope is immunotherapy treatment abroad but this comes at a price .....

She needs to raise £100,000 to help towards the cost of this treatment.

Myself and Gaz Mulligan are serving firefighters with Nottinghamshire fire and rescue service and colleagues of Karen.

On Saturday 3rd March, our plan to raise funds and awareness is to walk/run from the furthest fire station in the the south of the county( East leake retained station) to the furthest station in the north of the county (Misterton retained station) a distance of 51 miles ...
carrying the equivalent weight of a scott breathing apparatus set + air cyclinder. This is the same equipment operational firefighters wear when attending house fires. This is approximately 10kg or 1.5 stone in weight.

This challenge isnt going to be easy , however it is nothing in comparison to what Karen and her family are going through at present.
