I've raised £200 to pay for a day out for the Guise and Dolls Support Group, who help and support patients, carers and relatives affected by head and neck

Hi, thanks for visiting our page.
On the 10th September the two of us (Mark Carrigan and me, Chris Carrigan) will be running the Great North Run - 13 miles from Newcastle to South Shields.
This year we are supporting two different good causes. You've arrived at this page where you can support one of those causes.
Most of my professional life is now spent working on behalf of and with patients about their data, and their willingness to give their time freely to help develop better information and treatment for others never ceases to amaze me.
The Guise and Dolls Support Group offers help and support to patients, carers and relatives affected by head and neck cancer. The group is an informal discussion group, and also organises social events, and are based in the London area. They have been really helpful to me in he work that I do.
The group doesn't have any source of income, but it provides an invaluable way for patients carers and relatives to come together and support each other. They are a fantastic group of people, and frankly I want them to have a good day out. Enough to pay for some tube tickets, tea and cakes and somewhere to sit would be good. Anything above that would be a bonus.
They have helped me in the work I do, and are always enthusiastic and helpful. I just wanted to return the favour in some way. So I'll be running the Great North Run on 10th September 2017, and hopefully that might persuade some of you to donate to this by way of sponsorship of me.
Fingers crossed, and many thanks to everyone for looking.
Chris
