My wife and I got married a couple weeks ago. We organised the day ourselves and took out insurance for the day. We were hit by a freak storm in the early evening which destroyed a friends gazebo. We also hired a hog roast which was destroyed by the storm and a band that couldn’t play. Our insurance wouldn’t pay out because the wedding wasn’t cancelled but we’ve had to use our honeymoon money to pay for the damages meaning we can’t go away. Due to personnal circumstances I haven’t had a holiday in 6 years and was really looking forward to being able to get away with my new wife. It’s put a downer on our memories of the day due to the evening being ruined by weather. Thank you for taking the time to read this and for your help. We are eternally greatful.
