Story
The play park area behind Stanford Way, is very tired, in terms of the equipment, (a climbing frame and swings), the cracked rubberised ground covering, and the surrounding small park area which needs community attention. We need to raise a minimum of £5,000 for all the necessary improvements. This sum of money represents 10% of promised match funding.
The play park would greatly benefit from a new and safe ground surface, together with up to four new pieces of play equipment. Justgiving represents a sound form of funding this project. If any money is left over, we would seek to develop the surrounding area as a relaxing social amenity. We hope you will feel able to support us and also go on to enjoy the fruits of our collective endeavour!

2 years agoHaving reached our £5000 target, thanks again, we are now seeking funding for the larger sum needed, through C.B.C.and Parks. Please could you either write (hard copy) or e mail a short letter of support, mentioning the state of the current provision and the need for the community to have a new play park. Addressed 'To whom it may concern.' Thank you. Chris Collard and the FOSWPPP Committee. Letters to 19, Stanford or chriscollard43@yahoo.co.uk

The Friends of Stanford Way Play Park Project
2 years agoThanks again to all of you who made June 3rd down at Maggie Mays such a success! We've reached our target, but please still continue to donate if you'd like to! Raising the 'big bucks' via Parks, up to our planned / hoped for 50,000 pounds will take a while! We're applying for a charity account with Lloyds bank, after several false starts/ dissapointments in attempting to open an account. Lastly, if anyone has information about the Infrastructure Levy Fund, do please get in touch asap Thank you all so much. Chris and the FOSWPPP Committee
