Story
Three of my fellow Explorers in Banstead, Surrey have been chosen to represent the Surrey Contingent of The Scouting Association at The World Scouting Jamboree in West Virginia, USA in the summer of 2019. This is a once-in-a lifetime opportunity with over 30,000 scouts attending from more than 150 countries.
Our Explorer troop really want to help to fund our friends to raise funds for their trip. Therefore, this summer our troop is off to The Grampian Mountains in Scotland and will visit Loch Ness, Fort William and The Isle of Skye. But most exciting of all, although a bit daunting, we are going to climb Ben Nevis, the highest mountain in the the British Isles, standing at 1,345m. Earlier this year I climbed Mount Snowdon with some of our troop, but Ben Nevis is in a different league. However I am determined to do it as a personal challenge, and also to raise money to fund my fellow Explorers on their trip to the USA.
So if you could manage to donate to my crowdfunding page that would be great and our whole troop would be extremely grateful, especially the intrepid three who will be our ambassadors in the USA! They have already been fundraising hard for the past year, running stalls at events, selling cakes and organising quiz nights etc. I am setting myself a target of £300 to raise on this page, but any money raised will be fantastic and much appreciated.
