I'm raising £7500 to help fund a wheelchair accessible vehicle

Story

My name’s Chris Lancaster, and I was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease at the end of 2023. MND is a guaranteed death sentence; there is no treatment, no cure, and most people will die within three years.

MND takes away all movement, leaving you completely paralysed, and unable to swallow, speak, or even breathe unaided. You can read more about my story in this article in The Telegraph.

I’m trying to raise money towards the cost of a wheelchair accessible vehicle (WAV). At present I am unable to leave our tiny village as we are unable to afford the cost of a WAV, either by buying a used one, or paying the £20K+ advance payment for one through the Motability Scheme. Having a WAV would change my life, and allow me to leave our village to see other places and other people in the short time I have left.

If its not possible for us to obtain a WAV, or if I die before doing so, then any funds raised through this page will be donated to the MND Association.

Thank you!
