My Daughter Mabel was born prematurely at 27 weeks in 2013, she was diagnosed with a kidney condition called nephrocalsonosis with means that she has a think layer of calcium in the lining of her kidneys. This causes some of the calcium to break through and cause kidney stones that grow rapidly. This cause Mabel a lot of pain and multiple ( 19) operations so far in her short life. This is incurable and she will have to live with this condition. On top of this she doesn't eat a lot so has to be fed via a tube for 16 hours a day. She is a little star that is always smiling. Leeds Children's Hospital have cared for her since her birth up to today and have done some truly amazing work. All of the staff there care so much and have made us feel like we were the only patients there which I am sure is the same experience for others too. Team Endeavour is a small military charity that help serving and ex forces members that need support. They helped Mabel when she needed a specialist medical bed to help her from aspirating into her lungs which is extremely dangerous. Myself and my friend Andy have decided that we are going to attempt to run 100 miles in 24 hours to raise as much money as possible for these two great charities.
