Story

Harford Manor School opened in 1972. It is a school that caters for 100 pupils with complex needs from 4 -19 years of age. Our motto is 'Foundations for Futures'. In our school, every child matters. We aim to provide an education for every child to be the best that they can be, and to prepare them appropriately with life skills for adulthood. We encourage our pupils to access the local community, with visits, shopping, and using local cafes. Our most notable achievement has been our 'Close Links' charity shop, in our locality, which opened in 2010. Here, pupils learn to sort clothes and donations to the shop, recycle certain items, clean, tidy and present items to look appealing to customers, and use the till to take payments. This is like an extra classroom for them, and they thrive on it! It also gives the local community the chance to see what our youngsters CAN do, and they are often surprised and impressed.

Your donation will enable Harford Manor School to purchase new specialist playground equipment which is desperately needed for the development of their children. This charity has extra special meaning for Chris as Karen, who has worked for Chris for many many years, has a son who attended the school and has only great things to say about the school.

Thank you in advance for your support. Together, we can create positive change and make a real difference to the children at Harford Manor School
